A note to all our members;
Over the past 6 months we have made substantial changes to many of our benefit plans, so please be sure to save all of the correspondences we have sent to you through the postal service. It will be a little while before we can compile them all into a new booklet for you (called an SPD).
Annuity: On July 1, 2006 we changed the investment plans and platform within the Annuity Fund and we switched from Wright Investors to Prudential Retirement. From our annuity page you will find several links to Prudential's websites. If you have not done so please log in and check your investments. If you have moved and have not received any statements in the mail from Prudential please give us a call and we will assist you in updating your profile.
Health Fund: Effective January 1, 2007 the vision benefit has been increased to $500.00 per family per year. Also effective on January 1 we changed many of the companies we use to help us administer our Health and Welfare Fund. By now you should have received new pocket cards from RMSCO (our TPA); they have taken over for Excellus BCBS. On that card you will also find the necessary prescription Drug (Rx) Provider information for our new PBM, a company called Envision Rx Options. Please note that in this transition we have effectively increased the size of our medical network to include most of New York State (except downstate) therefore if your doctor was in the network before the transition they are still in it now. There have also been changes to the Rx plan including a new formulary and a change in the co-pays for the mail order benefit, please check the documents recently sent to you for further details.
Please remember that our Disability, Dental and Vision benefits are administered directly out of our benefit office.
Finally, It is important to remember that we remain a fully "Self Funded" Insurance Plan and as such
